Howard Koets

Howard Koets, age 90, of Edina, MN passed away peacefully July 2, 2017. Survived by wife Elizabeth Daughton; brother Erwin Koets; children David (Josette) Koets, Tom Koets, MaryJo (Chris) Wilt, Peter (Peggy) Koets; grandchildren Steve, Sara, Elizabeth, Rebecca, James, Maureen, John, Katherine, Mark and Emily; great grandchildren Connor, Benjamin, Clark, Joe, Abigail, Henry, Maggie and Jack. Also survived by Elizabeth's family Michael (Kim) Daughton, Judy (Brian) Anderson, Suzee and James Mac Donald and their children Laura, James, Natalie, Lilly, Audrey, Kathleen and Michael. Preceded in death by first wife Joyce; sister-in-law Ann Koets as well as Elizabeth's daughter Margo Mac Donald. Howard was born and raised in Kalamazoo, MI. He is a WWII Veteran of the United States Navy, graduate of Western Michigan University, long-time mechanical engineer at Honeywell. He enjoyed playing golf and bridge. Memorial service 11:00 AM Thursday, July 6 at Christ Presbyterian Church, West 70th Street and Hwy 100, Edina. Visitation one hour prior to services at church. Private interment Fort Snelling Naitonal Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to N.C. Little Hospice or Struther's Parkinson Center.
