Helen Schuiteboer

Helen M. Schuiteboer, age 79, of Kalamazoo, MI passed away Monday morning, April 10, 2017 at her home with her family by her side. She was born on March 21, 1938, Kalamazoo, MI, the daughter of Clinton and Freda (Wisser) James. On October 27, 1958, Helen was united in marriage to Carl Schuiteboer, who survives. Also surviving are their two daughters: Nancy Schuiteboer and Kathy (Michael Timmons) Schuiteboer both of Kalamazoo; five grandchildren: Christy (Zach) Bean, Amy Schuiteboer, Austin Timmons, Jessica Timmons, and Nicholas Timmons; four great-grandchildren: McKenna, Mason, Mia and Mya; two sisters: Joan (John) Moran of Plainwell and Diane Parsons of Three Rivers; brother: Larry (Micki) James of Kalamazoo; daughter-in-law: Phyllis Ritsema; lifelong friend: Darlene Blair; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents and son: Michael Schuiteboer. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM on Wednesday, April 12, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street. A funeral service to celebrate Helen's life will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 13, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be directed to Reverence Hospice or American Heart Association.
