Helen Russell

Age 94, passed away on February 20, 2019 at her home surrounded by family members. She was born on April 1, 1924 in Kalamazoo Michigan, was the daughter of Leroy Gilbert and Mildred Peake and was a lifelong area resident. Helen was the last surviving child of a family with 11 children. On July 1, 1941, Helen married George Thomas Russell. They were married for 39 years when George unexpectedly passed away. Helen and George had 12 children, one (Dan) of which passed away in 2015. Surviving children are: Thomas, George, Ruth and Wilbur Ampey, Andrew, Mildred, Edgar and Sophia, Jacqueline Overton, Craig and Ann, Keith and Jayne, Randy and Sandy and Leonard Hall. There are numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren that remain. Helen has been cremated with her ashes to be interred during a private family celebration of her life to be scheduled upon the return of her cremains.
