Helen M Schippers

Helen M. Schippers, age 92 of Kalamazoo, died on July 28, 2023. She was born on May 11, 1931, in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Harry "Pete" and Lucy Mae (Andrus) Taylor. Helen was a graduate of Kalamazoo Central High School. On July 16, 1954, she was married to Nelson Schippers and they shared 61 wonderful years until his death in 2015. They were active members of the Bethany Reformed Church and participated in bowling leagues in town. Helen loved working in her large vegetable garden. Her family includes her sons: Mike Schippers and Mark Schippers and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Harry Taylor. A graveside service will be held at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park South at 11:30 AM on Monday, August 7th, with Pastor David Zomer officiating.
