Helen Keith

Elaine passed away Thursday January 4, 2017 at the Life Care Center of Plainwell. She was born March 4, 1926 in Three Rivers, MI to Harlo and Helen (Price) Perry. She graduated from the Fort Wayne Bible College in 1956 and had attended Western Michigan before graduating from Wheaton in 1960. Following graduation Elaine traveled to Belgium where she studied French before moving on to Ivory Coast where she helped to establish Ivory Coast Academy and stayed to be the first to teach English speaking children at the academy. Elaine served in the mission field for over 33 years before returning to Michigan. Surviving are her brother, John (Dawn) Perry of CA; niece and nephews, Sherman (Karen) Couk of Vicksburg, Crystal (James IV) Bennett of CA and Michael (Theresa Choi) Perry of CA. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Norma (Charles) Couk and Charleen Perry. Friends may visit with Elaine's family on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego from 10 A.M. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Dan Bowman officiating. Burial will take place at Hillside Cemetery, Plainwell.
