Helen F. Faltynski

(nee Kusko) Left this earth peacefully Wednesday, May 9, 2012. Her final days were spent at The Lutheran Home, Wauwatosa, with her family close at hand. Born February 2, 1920, in Chicago, Illinois, Helen was the daughter of John and Caroline and the third of five children. She would often recount her childhood days spent near Wrigley Field, and continued to enjoy watching baseball on television as a Cubs and Brewers fan. As a young adult, she danced to the big bands in all the major ballrooms of Chicago where she met her late husband of sixty-five years, Chester. Together they raised their three children in Libertyville, Illinois: Louise (Mike) DeMarco, Eric (Max) Michaels and Nancy (Dale Krainer) Armitage. When they retired, they spent twenty years living in Florida and traveling the world. Helen loved dancing, her work as a secretary and bank treasurer, sewing, parties and travel. She was a practical joker who made this world a happier place. She was a fun-loving grandmother to Michael, Christopher (Jill), and David DeMarco, William (Isabelle) Stone, and Patrick (Emily), Kate and Matt Armitage and great-grandmother to Sofia Rose and Nico DeMarco, Annaleah and Emma Rose Stone. We know that she and Chester are now dancing together again.

Memorial Mass 9:30AM Sat. May 12, 2012 at SS. Peter and Paul Parish, 2490 N. Cramer St. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to: Alzheimer's Association, 620 S. 76th St., Suite160, Milwaukee, WI 53214.
