Harry W. Orrtel

Harry Orttel, 84, peacefully passed away on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Ridgewood Care Center.

Harry was born in Racine, WI on August 14, 1933 to Harry and Mary (Kout) Orttel. Harry served in the US Air Force from 1952 to 1956. He retired as a Plumber with Success Plumbing and was a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 118.

On May 28, 1959 he married Elsie Thompson and they raised three daughters together. Harry leaves to cherish his memory his daughter Charlotte Orttel and his daughter and son in law Barb and Steve Bulik. On April 25, 2017 his caregiver and daughter Karen Porcaro passed away suddenly from which he was never able to overcome his grief. His son in law Randy Porcaro and caring grandchildren Gina Porcaro and Nicole Porcaro survive him.

Also left to cherish his memory is his sister Barbara Washebek, sister in law Debbie Orttel, brother in law Bob Wemmert, nieces, nephews, other relatives and longtime friends.

In addition to his daughter and his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Caroline Wemmert, his brother Bill Orttel and brother in law James (Swish) Washebek.

Our immediate family will be holding a service at The Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel in Union Grove, WI.
