Gwen K. Andresen, age 59, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Villa at Lincoln Park, Racine. Gwen was born in Madison, March 25, 1957, daughter of James and Rose Ann (Nee: Loftus) Andresen.

Gwen graduated from Olympia Brown and was employed by Careers from 1978-1991. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Gwen’s favorite pastimes included shopping at Best Buy, Barnes & Noble, Walgreens, watching Bonanza, and collecting music especially, Donny and Marie Osmond, Bobby Sherman, and the Beatles. She enjoyed participating in the Special Olympics and was proud of her first place finish in bowling in 1980 at Oshkosh.

She will be dearly missed by her mother, Rose Ann Andresen; her sisters and brother, Alane (Chris) Pignotti of Phoenix, AZ, James (Bonnie) Andresen of Racine, Rosie (Ross) Ehrick of Ash Fork, AZ; nephews and nieces, Arthur (Juliana) Pignotti, Alex (Giselle) Pignotti, Christopher Pignotti, James Andresen, Wade (Rachel Martinez) Andresen, Stephanie Andresen, Michelle McGee, Josh (Carissa) Lough, Brandon Lough, Tyler (Stephanie) Ehrick, Taylor (Brittany) Ehrick, Logan (Katy) Ehrick; 8 great nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles, Elaine (John) Urhausen, Kathy Groat, Anh Andresen, Keith (Sherry Goring) Loftus; special friends, John and Mary Jane Braun; other relatives and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her father, James Andresen; grandparents, Kennerd and Eleanor Loftus, Chris and Ruth Andresen; uncles, Wayne Andresen, John (Betty) Andresen, and Charles Groat.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2016, 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Steven Clingman officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Monday at the funeral home from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and Tuesday at the funeral home from 10:30 A.M. until time of service at 11:00 A.M. Memorials to Careers or to Special Olympics have been suggested by the family.
