Gordon Floyd Nesbitt, born 25 October 1947, flew into the arms of his Savior Jesus Christ 1 February 2020, surrounded by his loving family at home on the farm. He passed due to a rare form of lung cancer. Gordon is survived by his loving, faithful, beautiful, blue-eyed, blonde wife of nearly 47 years, Ann Margaret (Kenyon) Nesbitt ; his sons Andrew (Abbey), Aaron (Jennifer), and Aric (Trisha) Nesbitt; his daughters, April (James) Worden and Angel (Thomas) Wold; his grandchildren Alexandra, Johnathan, Ulrich, Elijah, Catherine Nesbitt; Ari, Constantine, and Tirzah Worden; and Richard and Malachi Wold. Gordon is also survived by his siblings, Sue (Steve) Rigoni, Nancy (Eugene) Mohney, Brenda (Ed) Nesbitt, Keith (Elayne) Nesbitt, and Kenneth Nesbitt, and several nieces and nephews. Gordon is preceded in death by his father, Floyd William Nesbitt, and mother, Garnet Elizabeth Decker. Gordon grew up in Porter Township, Van Buren County, Michigan and was one of the original Porter Boys. He graduated from Lawton High School in 1965. PVT Nesbitt voluntarily enlisted in the US Army serving for three tours in Viet Nam as a combat engineer (1967-1969). Gordon married the love of his life, Ann, in Deephaven, Minnesota on 7 April 1973. For the next 47 years, Gordon and Ann lived on and worked the family dairy farm in Porter Township, raising their five brilliant children and welcoming their ten exceptional grandchildren. Throughout their marriage, Gordon and Ann were faithful members of Harmony Chapel Church in Marcellus, Michigan. Gordon found great joy in his family, faith, dairy cows, flying, and train trips. He was notorious for his stories and jokes. He was a role model in life and leadership for his family and those who knew him. Gordon made an impact that will ripple through every tomorrow. Visitation is Friday, 7 February 2020 from 1-3pm and 5-7pm at Adam's Funeral Home in Paw Paw, Michigan.
