Glenore G. "Glennie" (Koning) Adams

Passed away Friday, April 6, 2007 at Tendercare, Kalamazoo. Glenore was born April 16, 1925 in Kalamazoo, a daughter of the late Peter and Alice (Broekema) Koning. She was united in marriage, September 24, 1947, for a loving 50 years, to Gerald Adams, who preceded her in death in June of 1998. Glenore was a lifelong member of Grace Christian Reformed Church and at one time, a member of their ladies group, The Dorcas Society. She was a switchboard operator at Upjohn Corporation early in her career until she became a full-time homemaker. After raising her children, she was employed in Registration at Western Michigan University. Surviving her are children, Cheryl (Roger) Benthem of Okemos, MI, Sally (James) Nook of South Haven, MI; four grandchildren, Alicia and Brian Benthem, Kelly and Adam Nook; her brother, Harold (Patricia) Koning; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, April 11, 2007, 1:00 o'clock PM at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street, Kalamazoo, MI , Rev. Theda McBryde, officiating. Visitation will take place Tuesday, April 10th from 5 - 7:00 o'clock PM at the Westside Chapel.
