It is with tremendous sadness that we, the family of Gerald J. Desmond Jr. , announce his death. Gerry unexpectedly passed away at his home January 26, 2017. Those who knew Gerry could readily sense his pride and love for his family; and his delight at the smiles of his grandson Ethan. We know Gerry will continue in all our lives through good memories and shared experiences.

A service in celebration of his life will be held at the Betzler Life Story Funeral Home, 6080 Stadium Drive; Kalamazoo (269) 375-2900, on Saturday, February 4 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either Gerry’s wishes: The Ryan Desmond Memorial Fund or The Ethan Ryan Cowen Educational Fund in care of Donna Desmond.
