Gerhardt H. Cramer

Died Saturday morning January 14, 2006 at his residence. Gerhardt was born August 1, 1933 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin a son of Herman and Helen (Kortemeyer) Cramer. During WWII, he served with the U.S. Air Force. He had been a Kalamazoo area resident the past three years and was employed with Intersource Recovery Systems. Years ago, he worked at Prab Conveyors for 25 years. He was also a member of the Air Force Aid Society. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Leisel. On December 30, 1985, he was united in marriage to Beverly J. (Andress) who survives. Also surviving, 4 children, Kim (David) Schmitt of Peoria, AZ, Craig Cramer of San Francisco, CA, Colleen (Paul) Cramer of Climax, and Tracy (Jennifer) Cramer of Portage; 6 grandchildren; a brother, Friedel (Nancy) Cramer of South Milwaukee, WI; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 1 o'clock Thursday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave. Friends may meet the family 12-1pm Thursday at the chapel. Private burial will take place at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the Michigan Diabetes Association.
