Gerald Cunningham

Passed away Wednesday November 22, 2017 at Rose Arbor Hospice. Gerald was born June 1, 1947 in Bridgeport, IL the son of Ralph and Frieda (VanScyoc) Cunningham. He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the U.S. Army. Gerald retired from General Motors and enjoyed traveling, gardening, cooking and canning, and spending time with his grandchildren. On May 27, 1994 in Lexington, OH Gerald was united in marriage to the former Susen Luedecking who survives. Also surviving are four children, Kelly (Gregory) Volz of Bethesda, MD, Kerry (Denise) Cunningham of Southgate, Michael (Lisa) Bell of Schoolcraft, Marcy Johnson of Milford; seven grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Evangelia, Samuel, Willem, Greer, Rachel, Christopher; two great-grandchildren, Haylee, Erik; four brothers, Laird (Mary), Paul, Jeff, Kim (Jody) Cunningham. He was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Cunningham and a sister Linda Sue Weems. Friends are being received 2-4 pm Sunday December 3, 2017 at Parchment Redmond Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 10:30 Monday at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
