George J. Butkovich Jr.

George Joseph Butkovich, Jr. age 91, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Bronson Lakeview Hospital, Paw Paw, Michigan. George was born April 9, 1927 in Brookfield, IL the son of George and Rose (Ratkovich) Butkovich Sr. George proudly served his country during WWII. He was united in marriage to the former Dorothy M. Belasich on June 24, 1950 in Lyons, IL. George enjoyed fishing, ice cream, watching tv and animals; dogs, cats and birds. He and Dorothy owned a place on Great Bear Lake where he enjoyed just being outside doing just about anything; especially splitting wood. George and Dorothy also wintered in Sun City West in AZ where he enjoyed swimming, playing bocce and cards. George is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Dorothy, 2 sons; George M. (Dianne) Butkovich and their children; Kristen (Andrew) Lee, Mariel and Lauren, Joseph (Cathy) Butkovich and their children; Thomas (Kristina) Kevin, Brian and Joseph, 2 great-grandchildren; Connor and Everleigh. George was preceded in death by 6 siblings; Joseph, Michael, Steve, Anna, John and Marion. Graveside Services will take place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery at 10:30 AM. on May 11, 2018 with Military Honors to follow. Arrangements entrusted with Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw, MI.
