DeCamp, George E. Jr. Vicksburg Passed away Wednesday morning, October 24, 2018. George was born February 8, 1934 in Clinton, IN the son of George Sr. and Cora (Summers) DeCamp. George was a truck driver for several companies. He was employed with Graff Trucking years until his retirement. He attended Berean Baptist Church and enjoyed camping and fishing. George was a talented painter and enjoyed watching the Detroit Lions and Tigers. On September 12, 1953 he was united in marriage to his loving wife, Marilyn (Haring) who preceded him in death on February 10, 2008. George was also preceded in death by his parents; a grand-daughter, Shannon Conley; and a brother, David DeCamp. He is survived by his children, Lynette (Gary) Protz, Dan (Vickie) DeCamp, Donna (Ron) Conley, Ken (Jessica) DeCamp, Debra (Dan) Bosker; 17 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; sisters and brothers, Lugreta (Owen) Waggy, Jack (Linda) DeCamp, MaryAnn (Larry) First, Donald (Carolyn) DeCamp, Amy Young (Judd DeHaan), Bill Highsmith; and many nieces and nephews. The family would to express their gratitude to the staff of Springdale Assisted Living for the loving care given to their dad during his time there. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, October 27 at Berean Baptist Church, 7813 South 12th Street. Friends may meet the family immediately following the service in the fellowship hall. Private interment will held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to Berean Baptist Church, or Springdale Assisted Living, 2888 Lyons, Kalamazoo, MI 49048.
