Gary Stearns

Stearns, Gary L. 1/12/1951 - 4/27/2021 Gobles Passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at his home with his wife and daughter by his side. Gary was born January 12, 1951 in Kalamazoo, son of the late Howard and Bettye Stearns and had lived the past 50 years in the Gobles area. Gary got his first motorcycle at age 15 and has had at least one bike ever since. He loved traveling on his motorcycle and also enjoyed snowmobiling. In high school Gary was an athlete and an accomplished boxer. He loved camping, spending time with family and friends around the bonfire and was known for his wonderful sense of humor. Gary retired from Humphrey Products after 35 years of service as a machinist where he also earned perfect attendance recognition. Above all Gary always put his family first and cherished every moment spent together. Surviving is his wife, Judy, with whom he recently celebrated 50 years of marriage; children, Terry (Michelle), Trena (Nathan) Sell, Ervin his "Big Buddy," and his beloved dog Munchkin; grandchildren, Lexi Evitts, Ethan Stearns, Isabella Stearns, Theadora Stearns; great grandson, Theo Ashbrook; sister, Lana Stearns; brother, Alan Stearns; nephews, Fred, Chad and Kyle. He was preceded in death by his parents. Following his wishes, cremation has taken place. No services are being planned at this time. Arrangements entrusted to the Gobles Chapel, D. L.
