Gabor Orban

Gabor Organ, age 70 of Kalamazoo, MI passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2017. Gabor was born in Bad Tolz, Germany on October 7, 1946; the son of Louis and Helen (Kral) Orban. He was a member of the Hungarian Reformed Church and had been a member of the Consistory. Gabor had been employed by Clarage Fan Co. and enjoyed chess, puzzles, opera and ancient history. He graduated from Western Michigan University in 1974 with baccalaurates in history and philosophy. Gabor was preceded in death by his father on March 2, 1970 and his mother on November 13, 2004. Surviving is his son, Gabor (Donna) Orban, of Canton, GA; three brothers, Louis Jr. (Miki) Orban of Sarasota, FL, Ervin (Cynthia) Orban of Ft. Wayne, IN and George (Rae Ramsdell) Orban of Holt, MI; as well as two nieces. A funeral service will be held at Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home on Monday, March 27, 2017 at 2:00 PM; Rev. Gy Ludvig officiating. Interment will be at Mountain Home Cemetery. A time of visitation will take place at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ministry with Community, c/o the funeral home.
