Fredrick Newbre

Passed at home on February 23 2019. Fred spent 3 years in the United States Marine Corps and got out and married Carol Smittendorf on Feb. 14th 1960. He spent 23 years at Armstrong international and was a volunteer Fire Fighter for the City of Portage. He loved to fish and work in his garden. He had two children Lester Newbre (married to Teresa Newbre/Manion) and Cindy Newbre (Lewis) (which she passed away in 1995) married to Rich Lewis. Lester is also a volunteer firefighter ( Lieutenant ) for station 2 Three Rivers Fire Department. Fredrick has 4 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. There will be a memorial luncheon at the Portage Schoolcraft Eagles 11611 Shaver Rd. Tuesday, February 26th, 2019 from 12-2:00.
