Freda L. Barthel Adams

Freda L. Barthel Adams Hermitage, TN After a long illness Freda, age 80, went to be with the Lord Monday, April 28, 2008. She was born December 3, 1927 in Pontiac, Michigan, daughter of Agnes and Roy Dremer, and was formerly of Battle Creek. Preceding her death was husband William Burton Adams, daughter Denise Ann Barthel Abel, and former husband Edward Barthel. She is survived by her children: daughters Gerrie Mauer (Greg) Grimsley of Hermitage, TN; Susan Sundeen (Carlos) Eagle of Ribera, New Mexico; Karen Barthel (Russ) Button of Plainwell, MI; Renee Barthel (Rick) VanHorn of DeWitt, MI; and son Kevin Barthel of Augusta, MI. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, 1 sister, Wanda Mills of Venice, Florida and 4 stepchildren. Cremation took place in Hermitage, TN with a private graveside service held Saturday, May 3, 2008 at Floral Lawn Cemetery, Battle Creek, Michigan.
