Franklin Fay Whitworth

85, of Paw Paw, passed away August 25, 2017. He is survived by his loving wife, Geraldine (Ziegler), four children, Frank Whitworth of Michigan, Jeri Whitworth of Florida, Joseph Whitworth of North Carolina, and Steven Whitworth of Michigan, eight grandchildren, Tristine Carter, Taylor, Tanner, Tolin, Amanda, Allyson, Nikolas and Jacob Whitworth, along with many nieces and nephews. Frank was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Whitworth. Frank was born November 11, 1931 in Battle Creek to the late Leo and Helen (Collins) Whitworth. He served his country in the Navy during the Koran War and retired after 35 years of service with the ICG Company in Dowagiac. He was a lifelong member and past president of the Paw Paw Lions Club. Frank was an avid golfer and enjoyed time spent with his children and grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Ave, Paw Paw, where a Rosary service will begin at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will follow on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Paw Paw, with Fr. Joseph Xavier officiating. Burial with military honors will conclude at St. Mary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Paw Paw Lions Club, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the charity of choice.
