Mr. Frank Leroy Clippinger Sr, age 75, of Kalamazoo, Michigan, passed away Friday evening October 5, 2018 at Amethyst Inn in Peoria, AZ. He was born November 13, 1942 in Almena Twp, the son of the late Richard and Frances (Masten) Clippinger. Frank served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War (active service 1960-1982). He then worked for the US Post office until his retirement, but really never retired. He was always volunteering at the VFW or helping someone in need with one of his various skills in mechanics, carpentry, landscaping... if it needed done, Frank could fix it. He was a life member of VFW #422- Delton, member of the American Legion Post #45-Hastings, member of Eagles Lodge #625- Kalamazoo, member of Moose Lodge #88- Kalamazoo and member of the Retired Enlisted Association of Armed Services. Frank is survived by son Frank Clippinger Jr of Omaha, Ne and daughters Suzette (Jerry) Bigelow of Omaha, Lynnette Clippinger of Omaha, Jeanette (Les) Price of Phoenix, AZ and Donna Kay Rumaldo of CA; seven grandchildren; two brothers Henry (Linda) Clippinger of Kalamazoo and Robert (Bob) Miller of Delton; three sisters Marian Paro of Schoolcraft, Dorothy Trautman of Kalamazoo and Laura Sirrine of Mattawan; many nieces and nephews. Frank was preceded in death by two brothers, Patrick Clippinger and LeRoy Clippinger; four sisters Virginia Rayman, Oriene Pleyte, Lois West and Vivian Annette Smith. Memorial and Burial service to be held (date to be determined) at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI. Funeral Arrangements are being handled by Best Funeral Services of Peoria, AZ. Memorial contributions may be directed to Kalamazoo Gospel Mission. Please no flowers. -Gone, Not ever to return. To remember me as I was, is a lesson to be learned. So smile at someone today, do something nice for them this way. Then be on your way and have a nice forever. Promises made and kept are memories you won't forget.
