Frances Federico

Frances Bruce (Broschay) Federico of Portage, MI passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at the age of 99. Frances was born in Grosse Pointe, MI on November 10, 1918, the daughter of the late George and Margaret (McKittie) Glenday. She attended the Detroit Business Institute. She was employed as a Medical Records Clerk with Bronson Hospital for nineteen years. She was a longtime member of Oshtemo United Methodist Church. She was married to Albert Broschay, who preceded her in death in 1966. She later married John Federico, who preceded her in death in 2002. She is survived by her son, Richard (Janet) Broschay; a son-in-law, William Kennedy; step-children, Patty Porter and Donna Federico; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Kennedy and a son, Robert Broschay; and a sister, Marion Mutch. Friends may visit with the family from 9:30 a.m. 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 10th at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., Kalamazoo, MI 49009, with the service to follow at 11 a.m. Pastor Sheila Baker will officiate the service and private interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park, South. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Oshtemo United Methodist Church or a charity of donor's choice.
