The human heart starts beating approximately 22 days after conception. It is with sadness and love that we let you know that Flossie Wesler passed away June 30, 2020, after her golden heart beat 100+ years (her goal was to live to be 100, so we are validating that she got there by adding time from conception). On March 21, 1921, in Otsego, Michigan, she was born to Henry and Tena (Van der Vere) Wolters, the eighth of eleven children. On June 3, 1939 she married Roland Wesler. They raised two children Shirley and Robert "Bob" Wesler. Over the years they ran many businesses together, including Wesler's Grocery and Stoney's Ford in Gobles, Michigan. They had residences, and businesses, in Kalamazoo, Gobles, Naples, Florida and Livingston, Montana. For the last sixteen years Flossie lived with her granddaughter Terri (Kevin) Kelly in Allegan, Michigan, where she was lovingly cared for by her daughter Shirley Wesler-Brown and granddaughter, Terri Kelly. Flossie is survived by her daughter Shirley (Don) Wesler-Brown; granddaughter Terri (Kevin) Kelly and her children Kj (Kristin) Kelly, Jami (Ryan) Nagelkirk, and Jessica (Steve) Green; granddaughter Benita (Chuck) Scheele; grandson JR (Amy) Goodrich and his children Megan Miller and Ryder Goodrich; daughter-in-law Sue Wesler, grandson Jay Wesler, granddaughter Heather (Jon) Wood and her children Alyssa Wesler and Anderson Wesler; granddaughter Whitney (Josh) Miller and her daughter Molly. She was also the proud grandma to eight great-great grandchildren, Matthew, Madelyn, and Jalen Kelly, Trenton and Marissa Nagelkirk, Kyler and Ella Green, and Karsyn Goodrich. She is also survived by her special friend and longtime caregiver Lori Hildenbrand and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son Robert "Bob" Wesler, grandson Dale Goodrich, 7 brother and 3 sisters (she was the last of, and longest living of her siblings, something she was VERY proud of). Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Wings of Hope Hospice or 4-H Camp Kidwell.
