Fran passed away peacefully at Ely Manor of Allegan, MI on Friday, January 10, 2020. Fran was born February 22, 1930 in Temperance , MI and was the daughter of Wayne and Rhuby (Dull) Reid, both of whom preceded her in death. Fran was a gifted LPN, whose career spanned from Kalamazoo, MI, Miami, FL to Allegan, MI. Her most rewarding time was in labor and delivery, where she cared for newborns. Fran lived a life full of fun and adventure. She was always ready for a spur of the moment road trip, to someplace new and exciting. Her annual birthday celebration trips to Las Vegas were ongoing to her 89th Birthday. Fran's favorite interests were books, watching football, gardening, babysitting and traveling. She was also an accomplished bowler and won the State Championship for singles and doubles with her sister, Connie, in the late 60's. Fran leaves behind her son, Verne (Penny) Chapman, of Mililani, HI; her daughters, Debra Landsberger of Phoenix, AZ, Nancy Landsberger of Otsego, MI and Karen Tarpley Otsego, MI, as well as her sister, Sharon (Rod) Nunnelee of North Carolina. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Erin Chapman, Lindsey (Ryan) Block, Kyle Damm, Kerri (Chris) Bilyk, Matt (Peg)Tarpley and A.J. Tarpley; great grandchildren, Kaelyn, Korbyn, Shelby, Christopher, and Jonathan and beloved nephews, Charles (Jon)and Peter (Jen), a niece, Becky (Duane) and former sons-in-law, Emilio and Audie. Fran was also preceded in death by her brother, Norman Reid; sisters, Nancy Grivins and Connie Lemon; half siblings, Virginia and Robert; son-in-law, Duane Damm; and former spouse, Joseph Landsberger. A private family gathering will be held this Spring with interment in Prairie Home Cemetery, Richland, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Fran's honor may be directed to a charity of one's choice. Fran's family is being assisted by the Farley-Estes and Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Richland Chapel.
