Everett Burch

Everett went to be with the Lord on June 24, 2011, at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence, with his loving family by his side. He was born on August 11, 1936, in Adrian, MI, the son of the late Rev. Herbert and Lenore Burch. Everett was employed by Booth Newspapers, starting his career at the Ann Arbor News, then Booth Computer Division and finally retired as Information Systems Manager at the Grand Rapids Press. He was a member of Lighthouse Community Church on 11th Street, where he also served as a Trustee. He is survived by his wife Rosemary (Kugel) Burch; two sons, James (Debbie) of Orlando, Fl and Robert (Simone) of Milan, MI; two daughters, Sue (Lonny) Sanford, of Milan, MI and Carla (Robert) Smith, of Mineral Point, PA; fifteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; three brothers, Rev. Bruce (Betty) Burch, of Battle Creek, MI, Dr. Larry Burch, of Highpoint, N.C. and Gene (Linda) Burch, of Brooklyn, MI; a sister, Irene (Rev. Kenneth) Parsons, of Bluffton, IN; as well as many nieces, nephews, and great friends. He was preceded in passing by a daughter, Patricia Burnsed and a grandson, Anthony Burch. A memorial service to celebrate Everett's life will be held at 11:00 AM, on Saturday, July 9th, 2011, at the Lighthouse Community Church, 4321 South 11th Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49009, with Pastor Bruce Howell and Pastor Mark Swank officiating. The family will receive visitors at the church at 10:00 AM, one hour prior to the service.
