Etola Segerdahl

Etola Lucile (Hice) Segerdahl, age 86, of Schoolcraft, MI passed away peacefully at her home on May 11th 2017. Etola was born April 10, 1931 in Kalamazoo County spending all her life in Schoolcraft Mich. The Daughter of Forrest and Anna (Passage) Hice, she completed 11th grade at Schoolcraft school. On Jan 14, 1949 was united in marriage to Arthur Segerdahl Jr. They then raised their family of 5 children on the farm on Oakland Dr. until 1978 when they retired to Sugar Island in Schoolcraft. Etola loved being a grandmother and in her free time enjoyed china painting and cross stitching. She is survived by 4 children Howard Segerdahl, Maria (George) Sparks, Arnold Segerdahl, and Stuart (Christine) Segerdahl, 10 grand children and 15 great grandchildren, 1 brother Clifford (Phyllis) Hice and sister Arliss Schroeder. Proceeded in death by her parents, a sister Joyce Homoki , beloved son Harold Segerdahl and Husband Arthur Segerdahl. Her wishes were for cremation and burial in Schoolcraft cemetery with Arthur. Services will be announced at a later date. The family request any memorial contributions be made to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan if desired. Avink Funeral Home
