Ethel L.Tillotson

Ethel L. Tillotson, age 74, passed away on Thursday morning, March 23, 2017. Ethel was born in Detroit, MI on October 18, 1942, daughter of the late Robert and Donna (nee: Reinkis) Mason.

While proudly serving in the U.S. Army, Ethel met the love of her life, Robert W. Tillotson and they were married July 15, 1964 at Geneva Episcopal Church. They shared over fifty beautiful years together before Bob preceded her in death on June 4, 2015. Through the years, Ethel was employed with St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin Mental Health Center, as a bus driver and lastly as a tax preparer with H&R Block. An avid reader, Ethel also enjoyed crocheting and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Elizabeth (Herbert) Clayton, Dorothy (Christopher) Braun; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Ethel was also preceded in death by her sister, Winona.

Memorial services will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church, 3825 Erie St, on Sunday March 26, 2017, 3:00 p.m., with Rev. Don Francis officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until time of service at 3:00 p.m.
