Estella E. Struble, 91 of Traverse City, died Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at the Grand Traverse Pavilions after a valiant fight with Alzheimer’s Disease. She was born October 22, 1927 the daughter of Napoleon and Mamie (DeFrance) Brow in Grand Traverse County. She was raised on a farm in Kingsley with her brothers, Paul and Albert.

She met her future husband, Charles Struble Sr. on a blind date. They were married in 1946 on Charles birthday. Together they raised five children. The loved to dance, travel and camping. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Donald Struble Sr. in 2015 and daughter, Karen Horner in 2016. Estella is survived by her children, Linda (Greg) Smith of Interlochen, Brenda (William) Fagerman of Cadillac, Charles Jr. (Tanya) Struble of Interlochen and Terry Struble of Indialantic, Florida; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and son-in-law, John Horner of Appleton City, Missouri. The family is grateful for the wonderful care given to Estella the last 4 ½ years in the Elm Unit at the Grand Traverse Pavilions. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Grand Traverse Pavilions, designate Elm Unit. An informal Celebration of Life will be held from, 12 noon to 2pm, Tuesday, March 26, 2019 with brief prayers at 2pm at Life Story Funeral Home.
