Ernest Thomas Erdos, Sr.

Ernest Thomas Erdos Sr., age 82, of Three Rivers, went peacefully to be with his Lord surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Grace Healthcare. Ernie was born on January 5, 1938 in Hammond, LA, the son of the late Joseph and Margaret (Bruzcka) Erdos. Mr. Erdos proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Upon returning home Ernie began trade school where he became a Master Electrician working for HPM Corporation and later owned and operated E/Z-lectric. On August 10, 1959 Ernie married the love of his life Mrs. Barbara Jean Arnold. Ernie loved everything Cowboy, shooting, fishing and all outdoor activities. He was a faithful member of the Spirit of Truth Church and loved gospel music and singing. He leaves to cherish his loving memory, his wife of sixty years, Barbara Jean Erdos, four beloved sons, Ernest T. (Diane) Erdos Jr., David E. Erdos, Robert C. (Stacy) Erdos, and Homer W. (Julie) Lawson; one brother, Andrew (Linda) Erdos, three sisters, Ann (Ed) Koman, Grace (Ed) Rosen, and Margaret Cain; many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 26, 2020 at the Hohner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 27, 2020 at the Hohner Funeral Home with Pastor Larry McKay and Matthew Erdos officiating. Interment will be held in Flowerfield Cemetery with Military Honors under the auspices of the American Legion Hice-Shutes Post #170. Memorials may be donated to the Spirit of Truth Church.
