Emil Quadracci, age 93, passed away surrounded by family Monday, July 17, 2017 at Boland Hall, Wisconsin Veterans Home, Union Grove. He was born in Racine, September 15, 1923, son of the late Reginald and Rosina (Nee: Savaglio) Quadracci.

Emil attended St. Catherine’s High School "Class of 1943”. During WWII he proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps stationed in the South Pacific Theatre. On May 5, 1951 at St. Edward’s Catholic Church he was united in marriage to Helen M. Ontko who preceded him in death August 5, 2003. Emil owned and operated Quad Machine Company starting in 1958 until his retirement in 1992. Emil was a longtime active member of St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church and was a member of Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree. He enjoyed photography and traveling. More than anything, Emil was first a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be dearly missed.

Survivors are his four children, Janis (Bob) Meekma of Racine, Tim (Judy) Quadracci of Neenah, WI Mary (Dave) Pfeiffer of Waukesha, WI, Robert (Susan) Quadracci of Waukesha, WI; 17 Grandchildren; Peter, Elizabeth and Benjamin Meekma, Christine (Mike) Melbye, Tawny (Scott) Brooks, Tracy Trammell, Michelle (Richard) Jacobi, Catherine (Daniel) Zuperku, Amanda Pfeiffer, Jonathan (Bethany) Pfeiffer, Kaitlyn and Meghan Pfeiffer, Lucas (Fiancée Karla) Quadracci, Jena, Leah, and Zack Quadracci; great grandchildren, Eric and Claire Melbye, Sam and Emma Brooks, Tatum Trammell, Alexander Zuperku; sister, Helen (the late Jim) Simanek; brother-in-law, Steven Maritch; nieces, nephews other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Monica; and brother, Carl.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 21, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. , at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church, 1903 Green Street, with Rev. Steve Varghese officiating. Entombment with full military honors will follow at Holy Cross Garden Mausoleum. Visitation will be held Thursday at the funeral home, 5-7 P.M. and on Friday at the church 10:00 A.M. until time of Mass. Memorials to St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church have been suggested.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to all of Emil’s caregivers at the Wisconsin Veterans Home for their loving and compassionate care.
