Ellen Appel-Eckley

Born on Aug 8, 1939 and passed away on March 7, 2018. Her parents were Ben and Rose Appel, and her father was an ophthalmologist in Kalamazoo. Ellen graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School in 1956. Ellen worked as a secretary at St. Regis in 1975. Ellen and Joe Eckley got married in Kalamazoo. Later they moved to California. Ellen worked as a secretary at Sidley and Austin Law Firm in Beverly Hills, CA. After Ellen's parents passed away, Ellen and her husband Joe moved to Bullhead City in Arizona in 1992. Ellen's husband passed away on February 14, 2010. Ellen continued to keep a subscription to The Kalamazoo Gazette.
