Elizabeth Vidervol

Elizabeth Ann Vidervol, "Betty" was born August 14, 1926 to John and Mary (Kobe) Stimac, in Battle Creek Michigan, their only child. She entered into rest on September 18, 2017 in Kalamazoo after a short illness. A Child of the Great Depression and member of the Greatest Generation, she grew up in the family grocery store at 883 E. Michigan Ave. Battle Creek. She attended St. Phillip's Grade and High-school graduated class of 1944. She was married on January 10, 1948 to George Georgoff Jr. Children: Mary Elizabeth(Montague)of Kalamazoo, late JoAnn Kay, Gregory of Vancouver Washington, Rose Ann(Stefoff) of Greenville South Carolina, 5 Grandchildren 9 Great-grandchildren. She was married to Frank E. Vidervol October 22, 1977 who passed away November 18, 2016. Betty resided at Park Place Assisted living in Kalamazoo. She enjoyed scenic jig saw puzzles, visiting with great grandchildren, family and friends, EWTN's daily Mass wing, knitting & crocheting, cooking, travelling, yard sales, and dancing to 1940's tunes and traditional Croatian dance & Polkas. A devoted Catholic, member of St. Joseph Parish of Kalamazoo, formally of St. Mary's of Paw Paw. Betty was famous for cooking her traditional Cabbage Rolls, Nut roll, and other dishes. She loved sharing her recipes, sewing techniques, and advice. She was very generous with family and friends. Her famous phrase was "One Day At Time". The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 21, from 6-8 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Ave, Paw Paw. Mass of the Resurrection will be on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St Joseph Catholic Church, 936 Lake Street, Kalamazoo with Msgr. Michael Hazard officiating. A luncheon will immediately follow the mass. Burial will take place at Memorial Park in Battle Creek following the luncheon. Memorial contributions may be directed to Catholic Charities of Kalamazoo, 1819 Gull Road.
