Eleanor Hurtik

Hurtik, Eleanor Faye 10/27/1938 - 5/4/2021 Las Vegas ELEANOR FAYE HURTIK (nee' FLOYD) passed away on May 4, 2021 in Las Vegas, Nevada, at home surrounded by her family. Eleanor was born in Oakland County, Michigan on October 27, 1938, and moved to Portage, Michigan in 1966 where she raised her three children with her husband, Jerry Hurtik. In 1986, Eleanor moved with her husband to Bloomington, Illinois and lived there for 13 years. When her first grandchild was born in California, Eleanor and Jerry moved to Folsom, California to be closer to her family and later moved to Las Vegas, Nevada to live close to their daughter and her family. Eleanor was a devoted grandmother who participated actively in her grandchildren's lives. She was loved by everyone and was very creative and artistic. She was a very happy person and found beauty in everything. Her kindness and passion will live on through her children and grandchildren Eleanor is survived by her husband of 63 years, Jerry Hurtik and her daughter Carrie Hurtik (spouse Greg Walker), son Scott Hurtik (spouse Jeanie Hurtik), son Jeff Hurtik (spouse Lori Hurtik); grandchildren Nicole Hurtik, Jonathan Hurtik, and Ana Hurtik; as well as by three brothers and their spouses and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister. A memorial will be held at Abundant Grace Church, 2690 Decatur Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89108 at 1 p.m. on June 26, 2021.
