Elaine (Fryer) Eifler died peacefully on September 28, 2017 at Bay Pointe Assisted Living in Racine. She was born on July 19, 1925 in California to Kathleen Freeman Fryer and Charles K. Fryer. They returned to her mother’s hometown, Racine, WI when she was an infant.

Elaine attended Winslow, Franklin Junior High, and graduated from Washington Park High School in June 1942. After attending Lawrence College for 3 semesters until her mother died, and one semester at Michigan State college when her father took a job in Detroit, they returned to Racine where she worked at Twin Disc. In 1947 she married Robert J. Eifler. She enjoyed traveling while working as a travel agent, was an avid bridge player, and relished the wonderful times shared with good friends and family, in particular the camaraderie of “The Taco Belles”. She maintained a sense of humor, quick wit, and good nature throughout her life, and will be greatly missed.

Her husband died on July 4, 1980, and Elaine is survived by 3 children and 3 grandsons. They are Tom (Nancy) of Fair Oaks, CA., John (Bonnie) of Glencoe, Ill., and Kathleen (Ed) of Kihei, Maui. Tristan is Tom and Nancy’s son; Robert and Carl are John’s sons. She was very proud of the Eifler Clan, as they are of her.

A Memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 5th, 11am at First Presbyterian Church, 716 College Avenue. Visitation will be at 10am until time of service. A light lunch will be offered after the service. Memorial gifts to your favorite charity would be appreciated.
