Life Story / Obituary

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.

Eileen M Hinds passed away on October 25, 2017 at home. Eileen is survived by her husband of 46 years Jerry, daughter Jeannine, son Walter (Holly), grandson James, mother Vern, sister’s Bonnie (Hossein) & Maxine (Butch), brother Walter (Leslie) and many nieces & nephews.

The last 5 months since Eileen was diagnosed with cancer has come with many ups and downs. On that day we were told she could have only a month or she could have many months left to live, it was all unknown.

Thankfully we were allowed 5 very blessed months with her. In that time we enjoyed each and every day with her. She wanted to live it out at home and see all her family. She had what she called her "Living Funerals" during this time having many parties to see and celebrate with all the family that meant so much to her. Her wish was for us not to gather after she was gone but to gather while she was here and alive so she could enjoy the ones she loved, and that we did all summer long.

Also in these 5 months we prepared the best we could for her time to come to an end. One can never truly prepare but we did the best we could and so did she. She wanted when it was her time for it to be as smooth and fast as it could be surrounded by the ones she loved.

Her husband Jerry, daughter Jeannie, son Walter, Rosie (her puppy) and two very good family friends were all right there beside her as she passed over. We feel very blessed that we were all there together with her. With much love mom, you will be and are missed, but we know your right here beside us watching over us every day now.

We would also like to thank all of the nursing staff from Munson Hospice for the amazing job they do and all they did to comfort her during these 5 months.

If you wish to donate on behave of Eileen, she requested you do so to Munson Hospice’s or ACPaws. Please sign the guest book and share your thoughts and memories with the family.
