Edith (Edie) M. Phillips

Edith (Edie) M. Phillips 72 of Bourbonnais, IL entered her new home on October 17,2010.Edie was born on October 1, in Wausaw, Wisconsin the daughter of the late Carroll (CC) and Pearl Stillman Nichols.She married Carl Phillips on August 16, 1969 in Kankakee, IL and he preceded her in death on October 9,2009.Edie was employed by Family Services of Kankakee and involved with the Salvation Army. However, her main interest was being a foster parent with her husband Carl to 27 foster children.Surviving are two brothers, Gerald (Doreen) Nichols of Nampa, Idaho, and Charles L. Nichols of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and a special sister, Shirley McClain of Bourbonnais, IL. There are also eight nieces and nephews, Gail (Larry) Astley, Carla (Andy) Ward, Jan (Tim) Powell, Bob Nichols, Lydia (Shane) Nichols all of Idaho and Bob (JoAnn) Nichols of Lexington, KY., and Joy Phillips of St. Louis, MO.
