Edena "Shirley" Nance

Edena "Shirley" Nance, age 76, of Richland passed away peacefully at her home on Friday afternoon, May 8, 2020. She was born in Kalamazoo on March 24, 1944, the daughter of Richard and Edena (Marston) Carrier. Shirley owned & operated "The Hair Affair" in Augusta then Galesburg for several decades. Shirley married her beloved husband, Dick in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 30, 1971; he preceded her in death on March 12, 2020. She is survived by her children, Deb (Terry) Shields, Rick (Rana) Nance, Kim (Pat) Ferris, Scott (Joanna) McNees, Brenda McNees, Rick McNees, and Todd McNees; her grandchildren, Ryan, Shannon, Shaun, Ricky, Travis, Sam, Heather, Jake, Ally, Sarah, and Colin; five great-grandchildren; her brothers, Richard, Mike, Steve; and her sisters, Karen and Annie. Shirley was also preceded in death by a son, Mick Nance; her parents; and her brother, John "CJ" Carrier. Shirley loved to be around people and enjoyed bowling, golfing, and playing Keno. She looked forward to spending time with her family and friends and was known for her "colorful speech". Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Shirley's Life will be held at a later date.
