Dr. George R. Reed E.D.D.

Dr. George R. Reed E.D.D., age 84, of Albion and Palmetto Florida, passed away Friday September 29, 2006 at Foote Hospital in Jackson. He was born February 8, 1922 in Detroit, Michigan to George R.and Allie Beatrice (Weaver) Reed Sr.On June 29, 1946 he was married to Virginia O'Dell in Albion, Michigan. He has been a resident of the Albion Area for most of his life. He is a U.S. Army Veteran, A Graduate of Albion College; He received his Masters Degree from Western Michigan University, his Doctorate of Education from Michigan State University. He taught and was Counselor at Albion College for 25 years. He was a member of Albion First United Methodist Church and Duck Lake Country Club. He is survived besides his wife by 3 Daughters Karen (Robert) Reed-Messing of Elmwood, Massachusets; Ann M. Reed of Bradenton, Florida; and Susan (David) Reed-Quinlan of Mason, Michigan. 5 Grandchildren. Funeral Services will be Friday October 6,2006 at 2:00 P.M. at the Albion Chapel of Tidd-Williams Funeral Chapels with Rev. Dwayne Bagley officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery-Albion. At the Request of the Family, Friends may call at the Albion Chapel of Tidd-Williams Funeral Chapels on Friday from 11:00 A.M. until time of Services.
