Doris Rey

Doris Annette Rey of Kalamazoo, MI passed away on Sunday morning, February 11, 2018 at the age of 79. She was born on January 23, 1939 in Ann Arbor, MI a daughter of Timothy and Gertrude (Broekema) Rey. Doris was a member of Southern Heights Christian Reformed Church and a former member of the Bach Festival Chorus and Council. She worked as an administrative assistant at WMU for 42 years before retiring. Doris was preceded in death by her parents and many aunts and uncles. Surviving are her sister, Greta Rey; a special cousin and friend, Donna Penning; and many other cousins. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 14th from 3 PM to 6 PM at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street, where services will be held at 11 AM Thursday, February 15th with Pastor Dan Sarkipato officiating. Interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery. Doris's family would like to express their sincere thanks to the all of the care givers and staff of the Heritage Community of Kalamazoo who took care of Doris and supported them over the past several years. Memorials may be directed to the Kalamazoo Christian School Association or the Heritage Community of Kalamazoo.
