Mother, Doris Coral Cascagnett, 75, of Grawn, MI passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Munson Medical Center. She will forever be remembered with love and greatly missed by family and friends.

She was born on June 12, 1940 in Farmington Hills, MI to Leon Sr and Marguerite (Vick) Jewett.

Mom grew up in Farmington Hills and graduated from Clarenceville High School in 1958 and Cosmetology School in 1971. She married our dad, Wilfred Cascagnett on December 5, 1959 in Oakland County, MI. They moved to Kingsley in 1973 and then to Grawn in 1982.

Besides being a caring mother and grandmother, she had a successful career in sales working over the years for Olan Mills, Sears and Avon. Eventually combining her love of yard selling with her penchant for sales into a resale store “Grandma's Attic”. In her retired years, Mom owned and managed several rental properties.

Mom was a member of the Kingsley Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses and volunteered many hours sharing the good news of God's kingdom with others and conducting home bible studies.

Mom enjoyed entertaining family and friends and was known as the “hostess with the mostest”. She also enjoyed camping, bike riding, bowling, sewing, furniture refinishing and reupholstering, and loved having and attending yard sales. She especially loved visits with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mom was preceded in death by her parents; former husband, Wilfred; brother, Leon Jr Jewett; sisters, Alice Ryan, Marguerite Aitken and Evelyn Dean; grandson, John Andrew Marlin and son-in-law, Donald Magee.

Mom is survived by two sisters; June Bailey and Sharon Jayska; her children; Jeff (Jan) Cascagnett, Jill (John) Marlin, Joy Magee, Jody Cascagnett, and Justin (Angela) Cascagnett; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. We all loved her and will miss her very much.

A memorial service will be held for friends and family at a later date.
