Donald was born to Harry and Mary Starner in Elkhart IN, they moved to Kalamazoo where he became a longtime native of Comstock, MI. Donald passed away Wednesday April 4th, 2018. At the age of 92 years old. He married his first wife Yvonne and together they had two children Susan and Donald Jr. he leave behind 5 grand children, great grand children many nieces and nephew. He was proud to serve in the Navy on the USS Hancock. Donald was a longtime builder and a life member of Delton VFW 422 & Comstock VFW 6252. He enjoyed playing pool, bowling and trading stories with his coffee buddies. Donald is survived by his wife Mary E Starner, five step children, multiple step grand children, and step great grand children. Funeral Services will be held April 27, 2018 @ 10:00 am Fort Custer National Cemetery Battle Creek, MI. Processional will be leaving the Comstock VFW 6252 at 9:30 am heading to the cemetery for the interment, and will return to the Comstock VFW 6252 for a luncheon at noon.
