Donald "Skip" Decker, Jr.

Donald (Skip) Decker, Jr., passed away Saturday, February 10, 2018. He was born November 26, 1938 in Baltimore, MD to the late Donald and Evelyn (Sykes) Decker, Sr. Skip was united in marriage to Joanne De Bruin on October 10, 1981. He served honorably in the National Guard. Skip had a beautiful tenor voice and had been a member of his church choir, Kalamazoo First United Methodist Church and Kalamazoo Male Chorus and Blendings. He enjoyed painting wildlife and carving ducks. Skip is survived by his wife, Joanne Decker; children, David Decker and Donna (Mike) Eisenhardt; 2 grandchildren, Andrew and Rebecca Eisenhardt; and nieces and nephews. Skip was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Decker; and his sister, Evelyn Foard. No visitation or services are scheduled. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel. Memorials may be directed to the First United Methodist Church of Kalamazoo, Music Fund.
