Donald Philip "Phil" Schoenwether of Bradenton, FL was born in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan on January 11, 1940 to Donald Vincent Schoenwether and Marian Frances (Reese) Schoenwether. Phil died in Hospice on November 13, 2016 after a brief illness at the age of 76. Phil is survived by his wife Debbie, three sons, Steven, Michael (Pam) and Reese (Angie); grandchildren, Brandon, Reese, Ian and Taylor; sister Paula and sister-in-law Nancy. Phil worked in the family business, THE SOUTH HAVEN DAILY TRIBUNE and then the KALAMAZOO GAZETTE from which he retired in 2002 and moved to Bradenton, FL. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. A Celebration of Phil's life will follow visitation at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. The family is being helped by the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven, 637-0333.
