Donald McNee

Donald Keith McNee, age 73, of Richland, MI Don passed away Saturday afternoon, February 17, 2018 after a long journey. Don was born on December 10, 1944 in Hartford, Connecticut to Russell G. and Mary (Molyn) McNee. Don graduated from Battle Creek Central High School, and honorably served four years in the USAR Don retired from Michigan Bell/AT&T after 32 years of dedicated service. He and the former Janet Luedecking were married on August 11, 1979. Don was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Sally Dempsey. He has left to cherish his memory, his wife Jan, children Colonel Timothy (Kathy) Luedecking of Fort Hood, Texas, Laurie (Brian) Klok of Kalamazoo, as well as his grandchildren, Courtney Luedecking and her fiance, Collin Garcia of Arlington, Texas; Justin Luedecking of San Antionio, Texas, Jacob Klok of East Lansing and Kalamazoo, and Alaina Klok of Kalamazoo. He is also survived by many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and a visitation to celebrate Don's life will take place on Thursday February 22, 2018 from 6-8p at the funeral home. A graveside service with full military honors will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery on Friday, February 23 at 10 am. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are encouraged to be at the cemetery's cortege area by 9:45 am. There will be a one-hour visitation at the funeral home following the graveside service beginning at 11:30 am followed by a memorial service beginning at 12:30 pm.
