Donald R. Loendorf Sr., age 84, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Ascension All Saints Hospital. Donald was born in Racine, August 16, 1932, son of the late Germaine Loendorf.

Donald was a graduate of William Horlick High School “Class of 1950”. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1950-1953 during the Korean War. On March 5, 1955 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church he was united in marriage to Shirley R. Jannuzzi who preceded him in death, August 17, 1992. Donald was employed by AMC/Chrysler for thirty-two years and upon his retirement he spent over twenty years at Sam’s Club. An avid outdoorsman, Donald enjoyed fishing, hunting, yearly travels to Negril, Jamaica, and golfing with the Monday Morning Golf League at Washington Park. He was a lifetime member of Disabled American Veterans, Korean War Veterans Association Chapter 227. In May of 2013 he went to Washington D.C. on a memorable journey with the Vets Roll. Above all he was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather who will be deeply missed.

Survivors include his children, Donald (Alex) Loendorf Jr. of Oslo, Norway, Daphne Williams (James Clementi) of Racine; his two grandchildren, Kristin L. Williams, Ryan P. Williams; other relatives and dear friends. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by his fiancée, Lynn Marema in 2005.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 16, 2017, 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Interment with Full Military Honors will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Thursday at the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at 11:00 A.M. Memorials to the family will go towards purchasing a bench at one of the local golf courses with a memorandum plaque.

The family would like to thank Dr. Choi and his staff, the staff on 3B, and the staff at the Cancer Center-Infusion Therapy for their compassionate care.
