Obituary
Donald L. "Don" Conrad, 78, of Kalamazoo, Michigan, died peacefully at his home on Tuesday, December 30, 2025. Don was born, eight minutes after his fraternal twin brother and best friend Dale Conrad, to Carl and Zoe (Reynolds) Conrad of Hastings, Michigan.
As a young man, Don graduated from Hastings High School, studied accounting at Michigan State University, and served in the United States Army. Don worked hard and had a long career at General Motors, living in Potterville and Battle Creek before eventually moving to Kalamazoo to be closer to his brother Dale (who took care of Don in the end). Don enjoyed golf, card games, and traveling. Most of all, he loved his family.
Don is preceded in death by his wife Chun Cha "Chunhe" Miller (the love of his life), son Damian Conrad, brother Charles "Chuck" Enzian (Delores), sisters Madeline "Sis" Riegle (Larry) and Carla Chisum, parents Carl and Zoe, nephew Ronald "Ron" Boyer, and many others.
Don is survived by his son Joseph "Joe" Conrad, brother Dale, stepdaughter Alairis Hamilton (Shelia), stepson Scott Miller (Michele), grandchildren Chloe Conrad, Matthew Moon (Krysten), and Dylan Conrad, nieces and nephews, chihuahuas Booya and Diva, and other beloved family members and friends.
Friends are invited join the family for an informal gathering to honor Don from 12:00PM to 3:00PM on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, 622 South Burdick Street, Kalamazoo, Michigan 49007. A private military burial service will be held for the family at 1:30PM on Monday, January 12, 2026, at Fort Custer National Cemetery, 15501 Dickman Road, Augusta, Michigan 49012.
