BROOKS - Donald C. Brooks, 61, of Kentwood, passed away Thursday morning, July 22, 2010 in Grand Rapids. Don was born on August 26, 1948 in Greenville, the son of Cal and Ruth Barger Brooks. He was currently employed with Modular Transportation in Grand Rapids. Don is loved and survived by his children, Laurie and Heath Gyger, Angie and Gary Ohlrich, Matt and Sarah Brooks, Melissa and Lynn Sandborn, Kari and Jeremy Nichol; his grandchildren, Tyler, Tanner, Ashley, Jessica, Jenna, Sadie, Anna, Robby, Alyssia, Caleb, and Tyler. He is also survived his mother, Ruth Brooks; by his sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Craig Dawson; his special friend, JoAnne Zander. He was preceded by his father, Cal; and two grandsons, Jacob and Joshua. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at Shiloh Community Church with Pastor Ken Harger officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding. Memorials may be given to Meijer Heart Center of Spectrum Health.
