Donald Bachman

Donald E. Bachman, age 80, of Portage, MI passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2017. Don was born in Luzerne, Pennsylvania on August 6, 1937, the son of the late Walter and Theresa (Sevenski) Bachman. He served his country honorably during the Korean War in the U.S. Air Force. Don was retired from James River, where he was employed as a machinist. On November 11, 1961, he was united in marriage to the former Vicky L. Braden who survives. Don is also survived by his daughter, Terry Bachman; son, Jim Bachman; brother, Bob Bachman; sisters, Ann (Frank) Ondish, Carol Coombs, Nanci Bachman and Teri Haberstich; as well as several nieces and nephews. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a private service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans c/o the Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home.
