Diane Bethel

Diane J. Bethel, 71, of Bourbonnais, passed away Thursday (May 22, 2014) at Presence St. Mary's Hospital in Kankakee.

She was born June 1, 1942, in Flint, Mich., the daughter of Gordon and Gladys (Hadley) Sneller.

She was employed as an LPN for Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee for over 20 years. Diane loved spending time with her family and friends, singing with the Sweet Adelaines Chorus, playing Bingo and doing jigsaw puzzles. She was a member of River Valley Christian Fellowship Church.

Surviving are one daughter, Dawn (Danny) Barron, of Phoenix, Ariz.; sisters, Janet Hill, of Burton, Mich., and Pat Vance, of Burton, Mich.; sister-in-law, Stacy Bethel; and longtime companion, Jose Davila, of Bourbonnais; special daughter, Brenda, of Seattle, Wash.; special grandchildren, Brandy, Ecco, Alexis and Raine, all of Seattle; several special great-grandchildren; and many friends.

Diane was preceded in death by her mother, Gladys; father, Bill; and brother, Dan.

A time for family and friends to gather will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Schreffler Life Story Funeral Home's Bourbonnais Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the donor's choice.
