Diana Lynn Sparks, 67 of Traverse City died, Wednesday, November 22, 2017.

She was born on June 5, 1950 in Owosso the daughter of Lyle Jr. and Vera May (Wright) Sparks.

Diana graduated in 1969 from Traverse City Senior High. She ran a daycare in her home for over 25 years. She then worked as a shirt press operator at Masters Dry Cleaners.

Diana was a member of the First Christian Church; the Christian Women’s Fellowship and the Church Women United. She was active with the Northport Indian Mission Church. She enjoyed food, eating at the Dockside on Torch Lake and other restaurants. Diana also liked to watch old westerns and games shows, her daycare children and animals. She was a big fan of Elvis and enjoyed collecting Elvis memorabilia. Family was very important to her and she loved spending time with them.

Diana is survived by her son, Paul (Jennifer) Sparks, sister, Darla Seigh, nieces, Crystal (Chris) Sikkema and their children, Sebastian, Kaiden, Ariah and Easton, Kelsi (Nathan) Matthews and their children, Jace and Mallory; aunts and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lyle and Vera Sparks.

The family would like to thank Dr. Andrew Riddle and Dr. Joseph Piche for the special care they gave Diana; they had a special bond with her.

Visitation will be held 6pm to 8pm, Friday, December 1, 2017 at Life Story Funeral Home, Traverse City. Funeral Services will be held 12 noon, Saturday, December 2, 2017 at First Christian Church, Traverse City; where the family will greet friends starting at 11am.
